Rankings determined by Ken Corum, president of the MHSVCA, with input from coaches statewide.

PERSONAL NOTE: I really enjoyed getting to know more coaches across the state (electronically) and hearing about your programs! It's obvious that Missouri has tremendous coaches and leaders that are great with student-athletes and will help promote our sport!!

This undertaking of rankings was not taken lightly. I am sure I did not do an adequate job, but I appreciate everyone jumping on board with the spirit with which these rankings were issued--to promote high school volleyball! I can assure all coaches that took the time to contact me, your voice was heard--I read and considered EVERY email. So, even if your opinion wasn't reflected in the actual rankings, please know I did consider it, and I appreciate the time you took to contact me.

UPDATE 11/10/08: As it turned out, all four #1 teams got to the championship and two won the title. It was #1 vs. #2 in two classes, #1 vs. #4 in Class 3 and #1 vs. an unranked team in Class 4. If you go back to the preseason rankings, we had Sacred Heart, Hermann, O'Hara ranked #1 and St. Joseph Academy ranked #2--so, overall, your suggestions and emails were right on the money!! Congratulations!
